Veil upon the land where smoke stack monuments stand.
Bringing host to it's knees to fulfill our dyer needs.

We are electrons powering the dream machine.

Organic circuitry pumping waste through arteries.
Urban planning scheme.
Wealth for unknown entity.
Variations on a theme.
Forced maintenance of the dream.

For function and form this soil we adorn.
So a few may take flight to destroy another world.

Our best intentions can't hide the tension.
No restraint as we rape the land.
The best decisions can't maintain the system.
The ones left behind will never understand.
Our best provisions can't omit decisions.
Unsustainable cities turn to sand.
